By accessing or using ZeFile ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. ZeFile reserves the right to update these terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.
2. Description of Services
ZeFile is a secure file transfer platform that enables users to upload, share, and deliver files to recipients. The Service includes file hosting, payment processing for paid transfers, download link generation, and email notifications. Files are stored on secure cloud infrastructure and delivered via encrypted connections.
3. User Accounts
To use certain features, you must create an account using a valid email address or phone number. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information and to update it as necessary. ZeFile may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or are inactive for an extended period.
4. File Transfers
You retain ownership of all files you upload to ZeFile. By uploading files, you grant ZeFile a limited license to store, process, and deliver your files to designated recipients. You are solely responsible for the content you upload and must ensure it does not violate any laws or third-party rights. ZeFile does not monitor or review uploaded content but reserves the right to remove content that violates these terms.
5. Payments and Pricing
ZeFile offers both free and paid plans. For paid transfers, recipients must complete payment before downloading files. Payments are processed through our third-party payment provider (Paystack). A platform service fee is applied based on your subscription tier. Refunds are available within the refund window specified in our refund policy. All prices are displayed in the currency applicable to your region.
6. Intellectual Property
The ZeFile platform, including its design, logos, and software, is the intellectual property of ZeFile. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the Service. User-uploaded content remains the property of the respective users.
7. Prohibited Use
You agree not to use ZeFile to: - Upload or distribute illegal, harmful, or infringing content - Send malware, viruses, or malicious files - Engage in fraud, phishing, or deceptive practices - Circumvent security measures or access restrictions - Use automated tools to scrape or abuse the Service - Violate any applicable laws or regulations
8. Limitation of Liability
ZeFile is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ZeFile shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid to ZeFile in the preceding 12 months.
9. Termination
You may close your account at any time through your account settings. ZeFile may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms, fraudulent activity, or extended inactivity. Upon termination, your files will be deleted according to our data retention policy. Any outstanding payments or payouts will be processed according to our payment terms.
10. Changes to Terms
ZeFile reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or an in-app notification. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
